Cinnamon

Spice that comes from the tree Cinamomum Celylanicum and Cinamomum Cassia known as cassia. Grown in Ceylon, India, China, West Indies and elsewhere. The tree of cinnamon may exceed ten meters, but this is grown for the holding reaches up to two or three meters. Cinnamon as we know it is extracted from the rind (peel) of the branches of the tree. Cinnamon is used in the pharmaceutical (content has 1-2% essential oil). Used in the form of dust and peel sweets, meat, liqueurs, vermouth, ice cream and various kinds of curry. More secure is the use of the skin because the powder may contain other components. Besides the freshly grated peel retains most pure aroma.
